HillTop Bible Fellowship Wednesday evening bible studies are amazing and so beneficial to those who desire to grow in the likeness of Christ and be a light unto the world of darkness. There were two excellent points made last evening in our study in regards to the Three Battleground <strongholds> 1) That our life is not about us but about Jesus
2) Knowing that there is a natural stronghold and a spiritual stronghold: Point made is the Spiritual inward stronghold is the old man, carnal man, aka flesh man who is of this world, and he uses our experiences in the world to teach us false doctrines: The three stronghold areas are: 1) The World 2) Our Experiences 3) Wrong Doctrines.
Our salvation should never be "to escape hell" "to escape pain" for you see this purpose is all about our comfort zone but we should desire to become one with Christ to spend eternity with Him, who is holy and righteous. Know there is a graciousness about our Lord that allows for our maturity in Him. In the beginning our salvation is the awareness of the need for Christ in our lives but He desires for us to become as John stated, "I must decrease that He may increase"
John 3:30 He must increase, but I must decrease.
Jeremiah 17:9 defines the truth about our flesh man, carnal man, or our sinful nature: None Exempt:
Jeremiah 17:9 The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?
